Russell Locke

Originally from the UK, Russell has 25 years’ experience in recruitment. His experience includes working with a large multi-national, a boutique consultancy, as well as a start-up. During his time in recruitment he’s predominantly recruited within the town planning sector, but has also recruited across architecture, engineering, surveying and broader public sector roles – areas he’s developed since he founded Planned Resources in 2010.
Russell firmly believes in empowering the team to work in an autonomous (non KPI driven) manner. He trusts team members to develop lasting relationships with candidates and clients in line with the company’s values of maturity, intelligence and mutual respect.
Outside of work Russell is a father of two and relaxes by playing golf very badly, follows the EPL, and enjoys going to concerts.

Leo Liemesak
Associate Director, Planning

Leo is part of our powerhouse planning team.
With a great knowledge of all things recruitment, he previously worked in architecture and design as well as local government desks before joining Planned Resources. Leo now recruits in town planning, covering Melbourne and Victoria working with private and public sector clients and candidates.
Leo also gets involved as a guest speaker for events held by Planning Student Associations of Melbourne University, RMIT and other universities.
Outside of work he enjoys CrossFit, reading fantasy books (and actually sticking with them to the end!) and walking/cycling along the Yarra on a sunny day.

Leigh Monro

Leigh Monro joined the Planned Resources team as our Design Recruitment Consultant and is also Associate Director.
Leigh is a true expert in the field and has been recruiting in this space since 1997. He knows the ins and outs of recruitment and is truly a specialist in architecture, interiors, urban design and landscape architecture.
Leigh’s in this for the long haul and thrives on assisting practices build their future by securing quality candidates whose career goals match their own.

Having lived and worked in Southeast Asia, Cindy brings over 6 years of international, cross-border search and selection experience to our team. Before joining Planned Resources, she worked with global recruitment consultancies and recruited across a number of disciplines including legal, compliance, engineering, finance, supply chain, and executive search.
At Planned Resources, Cindy has been focusing on expanding our footprint interstate, especially into New South Wales and Queensland. Her absolute dedication and laser-sharp focus in market mapping have helped us secure candidates in talent-short markets and deliver on those search assignments that our clients or most other agencies have given up on.
Outside of work, she’s nowhere to be found! Or perhaps you’ll stumble upon her in one of the nature reserves and parks around Melbourne!

For over 15 years, Alan’s recruited for building services, infrastructure, civil, environmental / sustainability, surveying – and anything else related to the engineering sector.
With an abundance of industry knowledge, Alan is a key part of our team at Planned Resources, as our Senior Engineering Consultant.
Outside of work, Alan loves playing sports, spending time with friends and family, and enjoys drinking one “off the wood” at a local venue.

Kirsten Ellis

Kirsten has over a decade of recruitment experience providing services predominately within the architecture and interior design sectors across Victoria, with firms ranging from sole practitioners through to large corporations, engaging permanent and contract personnel.
Over the past few years Kirsten has bought her experience to Planned Resources as our Property Consultant where she provides recruitment services for both private and government clients. Kirsten has an educated understanding of the niche property market, partnering with candidates and clients to understand their needs to ensure results are delivered.
As a mum of 2 girls Kirsten enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. In her spare time she enjoys keeping fit at the gym and loves to attend theatre shows.

Bec is a senior recruiter on our planning team. Prior to joining Planned Resources, Bec worked on a busy Business Support recruitment desk.
Now, Bec’s a specialist in town planning recruitment for both the public and private sectors along with her colleague, Leo (fun fact: they both share the same birthday!)
Bec understands what makes a business tick and the importance of finding the right fit for a company’s success.
Outside of work, Bec is a mum to her little girl Millie and likes to hit the gym (and the boxing bags) to try and work off the sweet treats she’s made for her family and friends.

In her spare time, Ash likes to try new cuisines, crafting, spending time with her kids, supporting the Collingwood Football Club, and creating new memories with her family.

With a background in engineering and service in the Royal Engineers, Garry transitioned into recruitment, leveraging his expertise. He’s worked in the UK, specializing in field and design engineering before focusing on civil engineering design in Australia.
