Business Support Officer
We’re pleased to present a proactive and capable third-year Business student currently studying a Bachelor of Business and Arts, who brings a well-rounded blend of administrative, customer service, and financial support experience. With a sharp eye for detail and a solid grounding in financial systems and data accuracy, this candidate is ideally suited for short-term or part-time roles within local government – particularly those needing a quick learner with initiative, reliability, and a calm approach under pressure.
They’ve held recent assignments with Greater Western Water and Australian Electoral Commission, consistently demonstrating strong communication skills, customer-first thinking, and a resilient, team-oriented mindset. From data entry and call centre support to financial recordkeeping and service coordination, they’ve shown adaptability across sectors and a genuine commitment to quality work – all while balancing a dual-degree study load.
This candidate holds a Working with Children Check, National Police Check, and a Driver’s Licence. With strong digital literacy (including MYOB, Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint) and excellent time management skills, they would be an asset in administration, community service delivery, customer service, or finance support roles across council departments.
Animal Attendant
This Cert IV-qualified Veterinary Nurse brings years of frontline experience from clinics, shelters, and high-performance equine stables. Calm, capable, and deeply compassionate, they’re fluent in anaesthetics, post-op care, and the kind of clear communication that builds trust with pet owners and the public alike.
Now seeking to step into the council space, they’re ready to champion responsible pet ownership, drive local desexing and microchipping programs, and support community outreach that protects both animals and people. Their goal? Creating safer, healthier environments for all—two-legged and four.
From enforcing animal management plans to supporting rehoming initiatives and public education, they bring the rare blend of clinical skill and community insight that councils need. Ethical, organised, and deeply invested in doing things right—first time, every time.
Based in Melbourne’s west and ready to make a tangible difference at the local level.
Environmental Health Officer
A qualified Environmental Health professional with a Bachelor of Public Health and dual master’s degrees in public health and Biostatistics & Health Informatics. Backed by international experience and local council exposure, they bring a sharp eye for compliance, community wellbeing, and environmental safety.
Overseas, they led public health responses to communicable disease outbreaks and environmental sanitation issues, working closely with local communities on initiatives like nutritional screening and water quality.
Locally, they’ve completed a placement with a western Victorian council, gaining hands-on experience with food premise inspections, food safety complaints, wastewater management, and tobacco education. Their qualifications have been formally recognised by the Victorian Department of Health as substantially equivalent under the Gazette guidelines.
With active membership in Environmental Health Professionals Australia and the Public Health Association of Australia, they remain committed to best practice and continuous professional development. Analytical, community-minded, and ready to hit the ground running—this EHO is well-positioned to support council objectives and safeguard public health across the municipality.
